Settle the Body

Calm your body so patterns can be seen.

Settle Before You See

Before you can notice a pattern, your body has to be calm enough to watch what is happening. When you are wound up, you react. When you are settled, you can observe.

This course is not about relaxing for its own sake. It is about giving yourself the ability to pause — so the rest of the program can work.

Show me how

Tasha’s heart races when her partner asks, “Are you okay?” Her body tightens before her mind catches up. She says, “I’m fine” before she has even thought about it.

Before responding, she takes three slow breaths. Just three. Then she answers.

That tiny pause is where the whole program begins.

Your small action: Choose one calm-the-body step: three slow breaths before responding to one situation, one minute with the Breathwork Timer before a hard moment, or a short body check: “Where am I tense right now?”

Easier option: Do one breathing practice alone, with no situation attached.
